However, while the American Curl's ears are definitely distinctive, their curled shape is caused by a natural genetic mutation, not a defect. The cartilage in an American Curl's ears is actually quite flexible, especially at the tips. This flexibility prevents any discomfort or damage from the curl. Extensive research and genetic testing have shown that the curled ears don't cause any pain or health problems for the cat. In fact, the breed is known for being generally healthy and robust.

Quest, Stella & Chewys, Primal, Vital Essentials - and SOON: CatCrazy (!) - all freeze-dried raw. You just have to add warm water and it's ready to go. I would be a bit careful feeding frozen raw food at the moment just because of the Avian flu. FDR usually has a kill stop for bacteria/viruses.

I put the tag on the collar my cat was regularly wearing - just exchange it 😊 And yes, it's a bit big but I'm sure they'll have smaller ones very soon!

That's a really great question. It depends on which cat litter you use. I personally don't have dust at all because I use clumping litter that's 99% dust-free (great examples: Dr. Elseys is great and so is Arm & Hammer Platinum)

I'm so sorry to hear that! It sometimes takes a while until your cat gets used to it. I would try to use litter from the old litterbox and pour it into the M1 to have a familiar smell and also switch off the automatic cleaning in the beginning. You can hit the clean button without having to scoop.Once your cat has tried it she'll be happy to find out it is clean every time :)

Yes, you are right. They are Oriental Shorthair cats and are closely related to Siamese cats 😻. Also, I see you have a cool fish tank - we have a 250-gallon tank as well - it all started a long time ago as a 40-gallon "catertainment" tank with a couple of cichlids and an elephant nose.... and now evolved into a pretty big tank - I guess that's what happens🤣

I'm sorry to hear that your family is considering giving your deaf kitten away. It's sad to think that they might not want to keep her just because of her disability. What if you get another cat that gets sick in the future? Will they want to give that one away, too? When a family decides to bring a pet into their home, whether it's a furry friend, a reptile, a fish, or a feathered friend, they take on a responsibility. Pets should be treated like part of the family and not just discarded when things aren't perfect. Being deaf doesn't affect your kitten as much as you might think. Their other senses compensate for their lack of hearing, and they can still live a happy and fulfilling life. If you watch my video to the end, you'll see how easy it is to make your cat feel safe and loved at home, regardless of their disability. If your family truly can't love the kitten because she's deaf, then maybe it's best for her to find a new home where she'll be appreciated and loved for who she is. Pets need to be in a loving environment where they are accepted and cared for, no matter what challenges they may face

It has several sensors, and if all would fail (which has not happened since I've had it), the whole top should come off. What you definitely want to avoid is the ones where the whole unit is just one piece and, in addition to that, the drum closes completely.
